Inez Xingyue Zhou defended her dissertation in June 2017. She is currently a Research Fellow at the Interdisciplinary Humanities Center at UCSB. She continues working on her final translation emphasis project, an article on Haroldo de Campos' transcreation of classical Chinese poetry, which has recently received the research scholarship from the Haroldo de Campos Center in Casa das Rosas, Brazil. Creative translation and translation theory are organically integrated into her research and teaching across English, Chinese, and Portuguese.
